"The Soft Reign of Green and Grace" - 24 X 30 Acrylic on Canvas
A reclining figure - half-muse, half-myth - tenants the sky like a quiet lounging goddess. She lies, sits, glides over a dreamscape below poised, relaxed, eternal. She knows herself a sovereign who need not announce herself, or make an overwrought show of her powers. Swells of rich and cool green are her body. The deep oceanic blue is her instrument. Worldly structures, forms, and tones beneath are both governed by, and composed of her.
This piece is a meditation on the grace and strength of the female energy, Gaia - the house of life, the friend, lover, mother, and muse - sensual and serene. She presides not by force, but only innate possession of herself: a soft reign composed of infinite grace.
